Our Network

A local network built from organizations families already rely on.

Empower Kids Network initially focuses its coordination work on Miami-Dade County and Broward County. EKN connects across independent pediatric, therapy, education, home-care and community organizations without replacing the systems or responsibilities of those providers.

The network landscape

Organizations rarely fit into one box.

A PPEC may coordinate nursing, therapies and transportation. A pediatric practice may identify another need and make a referral. A school may be both a learning environment and the place where a family first hears about another resource. A church may provide community programs, trusted outreach and space for services or events.

That is why the network is better understood as an ecosystem of independent organizations with different capabilities across Miami-Dade and Broward — some clinical, some educational, some community-based, and many crossing more than one of those lines.

Examples of organizations that can be part of that ecosystem

These are examples, not fixed membership categories. Only verified organizations and relationships should be represented publicly as live participants.

Where collaboration becomes useful

The value is in what can happen between organizations.

The network matters most when one organization cannot — and should not — be expected to do everything. These are the kinds of situations where coordination can add something practical.

01

A new need appears

A family may already be receiving one service when a provider, school or community organization recognizes a different need. EKN can help identify a relevant independent organization and make the handoff clearer.

02

Support has to continue somewhere else

A child may receive care in one setting and still need nursing, therapy, education or caregiver follow-through elsewhere. Coordination helps preserve the next step without blurring who is responsible for each service.

03

A trusted local institution can open the door

Churches, schools and community organizations in Miami-Dade and Broward may already have the relationship, space or local reach that helps a family discover another resource or connect with an appropriate provider.

How the network takes shape

There are two different kinds of relationship to understand.

01 · Working across existing organizations

Independent working relationships

EKN can coordinate, refer and collaborate with established organizations that continue operating under their own identity and responsibility. A working relationship does not automatically mean that organization is publicly presented as an EKN member, affiliate or center.

02 · Building the model into a place

Centers developed under the EKN model

A more formal expression of the network is an integrated center intentionally developed around the EKN model, where independent programs can work from a coordinated setting with clearly separated roles and responsibilities.

First center under the model

Santa Cruz Resurrection Center

In development

Santa Cruz Resurrection Center is the first physical center being developed specifically under the Empower Kids Network model.

Its purpose is to demonstrate how multiple independent programs can share a coordinated campus structure without becoming one provider or one operating entity. Planned programs, licenses and operating organizations are being developed separately.

Santa Cruz is the first EKN-developed center, not the only place involved in EKN's broader coordination work across Miami-Dade and Broward. Other working relationships may exist without being presented publicly as formal EKN affiliations.
